- Laugh at yourself, your mistakes, and your needless worries - learning to laugh wholeheartedly like children do is surprisingly uplifting
- Simplify difficult tasks by breaking them down into smaller tasks
- Make everyday tasks easier by prioritizing
- Find the fun in tasks that are generally stressful
- Avoid unnecessary stress: if you commonly deal with a stimulus that stress you out, try your best to avoid it
- Know your limits - if you have reached a point that you know is your peak, where additional tasks would push you over the edge, simply say no - by doing so, you’ll effectively preempt much stress and be able to tackle on the additional tasks later on with a plate less full
- If a person stresses you, avoid the person the best you can, if that’s not an option, keep interactions with that person to a minimum
- Avoid stressful environments: if traffic brings you down, avoid it by taking a longer route; if a place brings back bad memories, try to avoid it
- Avoid stressful topics of discussion: religion and politics can often incite very heated debates so avoid discussing these topics, especially with those who you know have a different viewpoint
- Prioritize your tasks, then focus and attend to them individually without thinking about all the other tasks that must be done
